Puerto Princesa: UNESCO Underground River Day Tour

The batak tribe is one of the endangered of the ethnic tribes in the philippines that are now few. To help preserve the culture and living traditions of the Batak indigenous cultural communities and to create opportunities for livelihood from tourism activity, the Batak Visitor Center and Cultural Village was established and the Kultura Batak Tourism Producers Cooperative organized. The cooperative has an Arts and Crafts project that produces and sells ethnic crafts at the center’s souvenir shop, and traditional music and dances are showcased in cultural presentations to enhance the cultural experience and interaction with visitors. There is a visitor center you will visit and you will see thier exhibit and a trek to the village in the mountains to see thier way of life. A community based sustainable tourism. Puerto Princesa City Subterreanean River National Park is a World Heritage Site inscribed by UNESCO on December 4, 1999. The Worlds Longest Navigable Underground River and Now One of the 7 Wonders of Nature. The primary tour destination PPUR has the worlds navigable Underground River with its spectacular rock stalactites and stalagmites formation that made it to be among the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and awarded as RAMSAR site. Tour inside the cave would cover the first kilometer of this 8.2 km Underground River known to be the longest navigable in the world . Guests has the option to join Ugong rock cave and zipline. This is a shared tour with other passengers.
