Authentic Stories from Diners
Greetings from the Balikbayans of California. Chef Adonis accommodated my party of 13, with great tasting food. Chef and his staff were awesome. We ordered both assorted seafood and mixed grilled items. Added butterfly shrimp and had Red Snapper (catch of the day I think). The only picture I took was of the turon. I was so hungry and enamored by the food, that I forgot to take pictures. Thank you Chef Adonis!! We left a piece of our heart at Sabang and Asiano. Mabuhay and Mahalo.
If I could eat Asiano Gourmet Cuisine every single day for the rest of my life, I would. 🙏🏾 Chef Adonis Alvarez cooks with so much heart and intention, and it shows in every bite. He elevates Filipino food in a way that feels both deeply rooted and wildly creative. From the banana turon drizzled with caramel butter lemon sauce, to the savory tuna sinigang with just the right kick, every dish was a hit. The standouts for me, mostly because I had never tasted anything like them before: Singaporean chili crab, fried lobster seasoned with garlic and pepper, and fried mussels absolutely bursting with flavor. Even the coconut smoothie surprised me. It tasted like nostalgic ice candy in a cup. Chef Adonis also prepared a pre-fixe dinner that completely blew us away. A salty fried egg papaya salad to start, chicken binukal with buko garnish for the main, and mango crepes with ice cream to finish. We ate here every chance we could and honestly ruined ourselves for other places. We made the mistake of trying an overpriced dinner at Four Points Sheraton and immediately regretted it. Skip the dry, unbalanced hotel food and go straight to Chef Adonis. You will not be disappointed. We already miss him so much. Bonus: he also facilitates a private boat experience to Isla Rita, complete with a freshly prepared lunch (8000+ PHP). Order easy-to-eat food for the drive back to the airport (samosa, spring roll, turon). If you are anywhere near Puerto Princesa, this is not optional. This is the meal you will be thinking about long after you leave 🍽️✨
The food was really good there! Maybe three times more expensive than in restaurants nearby but quality is much better. So if you are not afraid to leave about 10 euros for one meal then you must go there for sure. Staff was really nice, especially chief who serves meals by himself :)
A gem! The selection is amazing, not an extensive menu, but they cater to all comers. One family in an all hands approach, they prepare the food, they mix the cocktails and they rush down the the fresh market for more fish (straight from the local seas) to have the in fresh ingredients. We all love the place, went back twice more while staying in Sabang.
This restaurant is absolutely amazing! The best and healthiest food we had in the Philippines! :) we loved our stay so much. Adonis is so friendly and talented and the staff is also very nice. The food was rich, amazingly spiced and flavored and a whole experience in itself. We really recommend going there if you are in the region. You won’t get any better good than there! :) also for all vegans out there: they have amazing vegetarian and vegan options. The best teriyaki Tofu ever!
