Authentic Stories from Diners
The food was okay, but I would say overhyped based on the reviews I read. We ordered the tuna tartare, prawn aguachile, crab fat ravioli, leche con tigre & sweet potato gnocchi. The apps were our fave & the mains fell flat. The atmosphere was really pretty & staff were really nice.
We ordered two appetizers, four entrees, and two desserts for dinner. We tried a wide variety of food. The service and ambience was very nice. The food was plated nicely but the taste was just okay. None of the dishes stood out.
This restaurant should be in Michelin guide, we loved it! So amazing we went two times during our one week stay in El Nido. Food is delicious, cocktails also amazing and staff is super nice. In Europe this type of meal would cost at least 4x as much so this is great value for money. Thank you all from Barakuda team for the amazing food and service!
Barakuda seafood Tucked above the main road, this restaurant was not what I expected - It was gorgeous inside! I loved the decor, even the bathrooms were cute, but their food and service made our lunch there feel like a high end experience for a very affordable price relative to what we’d find for a delicious seafood meal in the US. We walked in with our group of 10. It’s not an ideal place for a large group like ours, but coming in for a late lunch, they were able to move some tables around to accommodate us. They offered a 3 course prix fix lunch for 1,000php (worth it!) as well as a kids menu. Everything was tasty and affordable with great flavors and decent portions. Highly recommend!
This has got to be one of the best Seafood restaurants I’ve ever been to. Every dish we ordered came with a bang! Great plating, perfect quantity and flavors to die for. Oh, and the drinks too were amazing! I am glad I decided to spend my birthday dinner here. Aside from the food, the restaurant interiors and the service were impeccable! Will definitely make it a staple stop whenever visiting El Nido.
