Authentic Stories from Diners
We had the Hungarian Salsiccia pizza and the Alla Carsica pasta. Both were delicious. The thin crust was firm and crispy and holds all the toppings without going soggy. The penne pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. We truly enjoyed our dinner, and the staff was attentive and polite. Everything was great until about 15 minutes after our meals. I started to experience an adverse reaction to shellfish. An allergic response of developing hives and wheezing. The two dishes we ordered supposed to contain no shellfish and we haven't consumed any other food other than breakfast. The fact that I developed the allergic reactions in less than half an hour after consumption, it's fair to state that the food preparation was contaminated with shellfish. Hence why the one-star rating.
We really enjoyed the food here, it was very tasty and the prices are standard for the city. However, the service could definitely be more agile. We had to wait quite a while just to place our order. Despite the slow service, the quality of the meal made up for it and we will definitely be back!
I went there yesterday night and I had a quite bad experience. First, you have to remove your shoes before to get in, why not.. but the problem is that the floor is dirty, after two steps I had pasta stocked on my socks... Furthermore, if you are hot and expect to refresh after a long day under the sun, this is not the place to go because the restaurant is open-air so there is no Aircon. But the most unfair, they forced me to pay my bill in cash at the end of my meal. They explained me that their cards payments didn't work and that I should have seen the 10cm square sign at the counter on which it is written that they only accept cash. Such practices are simply scandalous en even more in 2025 not even propose a card or digital payment method. I took a picture, there is absolutely no sign outside to warn you before to get in and order your meal. They simply said to me, there is an ATM machine in the street but when you are a foreigner, it will cost you withdrawal fees so it is not a solution too. I left the restaurant very upset and disappointed.
Going barefoot inside adds a relaxed vibe, perfect for a casual gathering with friends 👣. Their traditional pizzas, like Margherita and Quatro Formaggi, hit the spot, and the carbonara and lasagna were also on point 👍! If you're craving authentic Italian flavors in Coron, this place seems like a great choice 🍕👌. They encourage you to speak to each other rather than being in your phone.
Trattoria Altrove offers a delightful dining experience with its rich, flavorful dark pasta and delicious pizza, making it a must-visit for authentic Italian cuisine lovers. Overall, it’s a must come back Italian restaurant. Plus, you need to remove your shoes before entering.
